i duno wat i'm doing. meeting them for lunch at refratory at 12 but here i am eating my left over pasta frm yesterday night. hmmmm.... i'm turning into such a pig. i mean i keep getting hungry. especially during lessons and well between lessons too. sigh.

anw i've been sleeping in every single lecture w/o fail. except one 2day. cos there was stuff for us to do. =) i need to move and do smth or else i'll slp. and it dosen't help that they dim the lights for every lecture. so nice to sleep. =D

yesterday was a wet wet day. it rained quite heavily. not those downpours u get in spore but by standards here. well i got soaked. my jeans were wet. my windbreaker's pockets had water in them. i don't know how they got inside but boy was it cold when i put my hands in. my jacket was wet too. we were out looking at hps with the snrs. but i think most pple didn't get anything in the end cos we all needed bank statements. speaking bout bank statements, i need them to send again cos they got my address wrong. but i have to wait till the system gets updated b4 i can go tell them i wan another statement sent. like wth. i have to go down everyday to ask if the system's been updates. EVERYDAY?!?! gdness me. n my cards. i still have to go down again to collect another card. bleah. bank matters are so ma fan! *grumble*

mugger me

i was mugging/cramming till earn morn yest. 3am. yes, we've got hw frm the 1st pbl session, though they said it's still a training case. =D i'm so proud of myself. i didn't fall asleep looking at those cholesterol and what knots. now i'm feeling a bit sleepy. heez. don't ask me why i woke up so early. actually i didn't do much i think. darn i still have so much to do still and it's due on fri. damn thoese stupid cholesterol. i'm stuck. oh crap. i'll carry on after this, and breakfast and a shower. hurhur. hope i have so time b4 i go out. oh yeah, i've a free day 2day. no sch. imagine a medic having a free day. hurhur.

anw there was a mass chatting session yest wif e singsoc pple. how mani pple in a convo. hmmm i think 13 or 14. haha. and i was mugging!! so everytime i looked up frm the screen, the screen would have moved n i won't know wat's gg on. n if kept flashing orange, more than one screen. when we didn't talk, they stared nudging and putting the silly winks. so the screen was vibrating and making lotsa weird noises. gdness they didn't send an earthquake like the older msn version culd. :p was pretty funny. as usual pple talked cock. n the snr tot i was a dentist. keep asking if i'm the dentist. ?!?!

btw i'm hooked on pingpong now. thanks to last fri's moberly night. haha. pingpong pingpong. i think we're having another session tis fri. hurhur. no more 3ams i hope. might be having riding stuff on wkends. =)

1st attempt at ping pong.

i played pingpong till 330am. yup. slpt at 4, woke up at 930. haha...miraculously i'm not tired now. :p

we had this gathering at moberly hall's lounge. mx and i went there at bout a little past 8 cos we were cooking b4 that. i thought we were gg to be late and it turned out, we're one of the 1st 3 that turned up. hurhur. so we went up to vp's place. his room's bigger den ours. sigh. anw, it was me, mx and a 3rd yr guy. while waiting for vp to come open the door for us, we were doing the i-stare-at-u-u-stare-at-me thing again. it's just us lah. it's so awkward! gdness, in vp's rm there's nothing much to do either and we had to do intro. which didn't last for even 5min cos we onli said like 3 sentences each. haha. i suck at doin this kind of things.

oh and we asked what the vp does at night cos he dosen't like to go drink too. den he asked if we wanted to go for theater events. not bad, but i think it'll be kinda ex. shall see. anw i think the guys always have animae to entertain them. i watched appleseed that day too!! haha. maybe i'll get hooked too. but that's only if anyone lends it to me. haha.

back to the activity. cos there's only us 4 early pple, we went to the lounge 1st to play err i forgot wat it's called. the table football thingie?? yup. i suck at it! haha. seriously. cos my left hand's retarded. anything that my left hand touch the ball will just row thru. so naturally, when i was doin the defence, i let it so many goal it was embarrasing. me was so slow and retarded, we played it damn slowly too. the guys were all bored to death man. onli c's so patient to go on commentating too. haha. den we played a bit of bridge when the rest came. then it was back to the football thingie wif mx n k. 3 girls playing. me n mx and k alone. we didn't bully her, that's cos we're new and she's pro. the 3 of us was erm laughing a lot. hurhur. c's said we looked cute playing that thing. gdness, you're not suppose to look cute playing that thing rite? damn. i just can't get away with the cute/childish thingie. oh well. my letting in of goals' providing entertainment to those who came to look. all my image's gone. *sobs*

then it was pingpong. i think i started at bout 12 or smth. pingpong's fun! my 1st time at it. haha. it's just hilarious cos the balls would fly around and hit the pple playing pool and the football thingie(both are just beside the pingpong table) or hit those at the back playing darts, the arcade or those sitting playing drinking games. sigh. i hit a few pple too. as it got later, the guys got more drunk and went crazy laughing at everything n seeing double. we even played err, floor tennis, badminton(where balls fly around w/o touching the table) and to basically just hitting the ball anyway u want. *smirks* it's fun.

dissection class

had my 1st dissection class just now.

pple were enthu bout anatomy class. cos we were actually starting to wear the lab coats outside the lab. actually it's monkey see monkey do. one did and we all copied. haha. there wasn't any smell at all outside, except for paint. haha. so i thought the smell wasn't that bad. BUT the thing is, once u get into the door, u have to walk through like another 2 or 3 doors b4 u reach the place where all the bodies were laid out. so that's why u can't smell the formaline smell! haha. but it's wan't that bad. kind of like anticeptic i thought. just stronger.

anw it was kind of scary at 1st. cos when u walk in, there are like prosections and stuff along the way. then when you get to the actual area, you see so many trolleys laid out in rows and they all had a body on it. well, it was covered with this blue sheet of thing so u can't see the body and just see humps on the trolleys. and the humps are huge! unusually huge if u try to picture a body underneath it. den we had to weave thru those stuff to the end of the room to put our bags on the shelves.

but after that it was ok. just the initial bit only. haha. got shown our demonstrator and she brought us around the place.(it's not just disecting. the dissecting room is big!) the body we got's an old man. die of penumonia. it actually looks kind of fake. nothing like us. i gave it a prod too. felt quite bouncy i guess. dosen't feel like what it looks. haha. wasn't that bad. pretty fast session too. i love it when classes end early. they always end early here, for now. :)

1st movie in manchester

sch's bout the same. pbl n lect. i almost didn't go for the lect cos i didn't mark it on the timetable.

anw we had dinner with some of the snrs at china city in chinatown. it was not bad. after that we decided to go for a movie! and it was free. hurhur. cos they were giving out free movie passes at the fresher's fair. though we didn't bring ours, the snrs had well, enough to go around for about eh.. 14 pple?not really sure. watched the 40 yr old virgin. gdness me, it was hilarious! even the commercials here are super lame and funny. me n dear tracy was laughing like mad and well i suppose the loudest too. cos the rest sitting at the other end of the row could hear us. heez. haven't had such a gd laugh for so long. and b4 that, we were playing some qian4 biaan3 wen4 da2 ti2. so even b4 we went in we were laughing like mad. i'm so glad i went. =)

student tickets are £3.25. so it's bout the same as watching in spore on wkends. another thing is movie screening her is super slow. they're still showing must love dogs and some shows that was screened long time ago in spore is a coming soon here. weird.

reached hm at bout 1220 cos we walked all the way back from town and the guys ate supper along the way. it's nice walking at night. :) and even for long distances, you won't sweat. feel kind of bad that the other 2 guys walked me back to the gate although there's another guy walking back wif me cos we stayed in the same place. the 2 snrs' place was b4 ours and it wasn't that far. but i guess it's cos of the "u must walk in groups at night and 2 is not a group thing." oh well. i'm not used to having pple send me home.

1st lesson

had my 1st pbl lesson today. 1hr not that long. didn't do proper lessons, just some "fun" stuff. we did intro, den this game where in a grp of 5, there's one observer, one actor and the rest are to be hospital staff. so the tutor would stick smth on the back of the actor which would be wat kind of person the actor would be. the actor has to guess what he/she's acting by the conversation between the actor and us, the hospital staff. hmm..sounds kind of confusing. haha. oh well. 2nd game's the bamboo thingie. form 2rows facing each other, fingers touching. den they'll put a bamboo pole across and we have to move up and down together. think i did that somewhere b4. but anw i bet they'll label me as the quite and uncontributing person. :p usual stuff lah yah. haha.

anw spent the rest of the day after sch wif the sporeans. haven't met them for quite some time since i moved to whitworth park. we to walk ard the academy and fresher's fair n stuff. duno wat to join oso. fencing sounds nice. but it's lie £30 membership fee and £2 everytime u go. i wan to join riding. but it's like £20 membership and £15 per lesson. i think i'm gg to faint. haha. mayb badminton. felt like joining the hiking club. but it's just hikking and they like really go to palces like mountains or smth. there's some cadet thingie too. and u get paid too!! but i duno lah. it's like there's nothing like oac. bleah.

we had korean dinner 2dae! it's not bad. hahaa. but it's at some quite ulu part so yah, had to cab there. and it costs quite a bit. boo hoo hoo. everything costs a lot here. =s

but i'm feeling sick. have to forgoe the curry trip wif my pbl grp today. sigh. having a sore throat now. if i still take curry and alcohol, i think i'll be dead tmr. sigh.

anw yest night was kind of scary. this guy we met at the international orientation was gg wonky. i think he was high on smth. cos at kept touching my fren and ask her to hold his hands cos his hands are feeling cold. den we escaped frm him back to my room. i think he found out so he came into my flat when my flatmates were opening the door and walked straight downstairs to look for my fren in the common room and everywhere else. damn it was frreaky!! he came to ask me where she was n i just told a lie. after that we sneaked back into my fren's room. lotsa weird pple ard. =s

met my mummy and daddy and my pbl grp 2day. there's this other international student frm malaysia. the rest are local. not too bad i guess. although i didn't really tok to everyone. there's jamie from london, conor from irealand, lara frm machester, hannah n erm i can't rememb er the name. but i know their faces! haha.

1st day of orientation. food dosen't taste that bad, although it looks kind of bad. nothing much to do for today.orientation starts proper tomorrow. nothing much after dinner, except for dancing clasess or visit to the pub. did neither cos erm we we late for the dance class thing and didn't wan to chap in. pub was well out cos i'm damntired liao. instead we sat down to chat at this open area and ate grapes. it then got too cold to bear and wewent to seek indoor shelter. we went to the com clusters. did what i love. go onthe net. :p there's a lan pt in my room. and a ph too! haha. not bad to stay in ashburne hall. everyone else's near the registration area cos they were early. unlike me who only turned up at bout 5pm. lol. anw this rooms quite nice.spacious too. =) i'll love to stay here if it wasn't to terribly far away frm the fac. there's a closet, big shoe rack, tableand err a drawer and of course a bed! heard whitworth park's small and cram wif even crammer stairs. =s i hopeit's not that bad. chose it cos the exterior looks nice lo. those old english building look alike. red bricks etc. and the most impt reason: it's sooo near my fac! it's just across the road. =) i got to know a girl from india, mauritius(or was it morroco), dubai, malaysia, hongkong. that's bout it. and ofcourse the sporeans. it's hard not to cluster together. hmmm... 12th-14th Septembercan't remember the exact stuff. most memorable was maybe the morris dance demonstration and them teachingenglish folk/traditional dance. we were kind of reluctant at 1st, shy mah. haha. den after we got dragged and pushedto do the dance, we found it so interesting we went for the next dance and went back the nxt day too. haha. lotsa turning and running around. helps to keep us warm too. lol. but it was fun. didn't really like to go to the pubs cos it's so damn smoky! i mean pple here really smoke everywhere and it's even worse when it's in enclosed area. i'll probably die of lung cancer from involuntary passive smoking. yuck. basically, i'm learning to survive alone. it'sstill dosen't feel that hard. went to open a bank a/c myself. *beams* actually nothing great lah. haha. we went to explore the city too. it's quite nice actually. especially the town hall. i just like the old buildings. so grand. =) we went to a pub wif the rest of the sporeans at deansgate. it was really smoky and yah i can't drink outside sonothing better to do. we just sat on the couch n started stoning. and this err old angmoh guy kept waving at us. =S and the last day's party, we well, sat ard while the rest drank. den tis angmoh guy tapped me and mx on the shoulder. i got a shock and tot who touched me. haha. I ignored him. not on purpose mah.. it's so noisy and i can'treally hear what he said. smth bout gg to dance. den he went to pester mx cos i just turned away. hee... rude rite?that's bout it lah. oh yah, our fav activity is to sit in the open and talk until we get frozen b4 we go off to somewhereto thaw. and we just seem to like to stand in the middle of the road and discuss stuff and nv get moving. alwayshappens when there's lotsa pple.

today's the big day. moving house!! a nightmare actually. had to lug my big fat luggage down the stairs. frm the 3rd flr.luckily mx came to help so the 2 of us lug my 4 pieces of luggage down. wat a work out! made me sweat lo. anw mx'sparents' were coming so they were gg to send us down to wp since we both stayed there. just a house away. we had to wait for bout 3hrs in the open. and it bloody hell rained the whole day. so freaking cold!!! gdness and all my sweaters and jackets were in the big fat luggage. nearly turned into an ice lolly. her parents were really nice lo. treated me to lunch and dinner. sigh i feel so bad. eating here's not cheap lo. somemore both meals we ate atrestaurants. they brought us to go shopping too. and they helped me carry my fat luggage up to my flat. and yah,it was on the top flr again. cos all the girls are on the top flr flats. i managed to mess up my room in such a shorttime when i tired to unpack. haha. didn't have enough hanger so i didn't really unpack much clothings. room's pretty small actually. i wonder how all my stuff's gonna fit.

weather's turning cold. although today's so sunny, it's cold. even worse when the wind blows. so i bought myself this nice khaki jacket frm primark. haha, gd excuse. wanted to get the brown one, but i tot it's better to get a bigger size which is not avaliable in brown. dad came down wif only my cups, so i can't cook. in the end dinnerwas just the mushroom soup-a-cup and rich tea biscuits. i feel so bad. i kind of chased my dad away when he came down today. i didn't mean it. sorry. i feel so bad. he came down all the way; he's sick; n it costs a damned £15. bank matters are irritating. i'm so confused. a flatmate just moved in today. but till now i don't see her except the once b4 i went out and she was viewing the flat and moving her stuff i guess. it's still as gd as living alone. i think i might be the only international studentliving in this flat. hmmmm...anw some pig downstairs decided to move in at 6:10am today. so irritating!!! i need to slp. n it didn't help that the silly heater was making weird noise. i got so fed-up i just woke up. another thing is the sun shines directly into my room and there's a street lamp directly outside too. sometimes it gets toohot and bright. the table lamp is oso damn glaring. oh well. the place pretty much nice to live in. cosy :) laundry's expenseive. £1.80 to wash and £0.20 to dry for 7mins. gdness me. we did laundry today and some stupidclothing's colour ran!! when i washed it at my uncle's place it didn't. mx's didn't run at hm too. damn weird. nowmy t-shirts have blotches. yuck. i look like some garang guni or smth.

got 2 new flat mates 2dae. hannah and lina i think. didn't get her name, or actually i didn't get what her mum said.been out 2day so didn't talk much. uncle and family came down with the rest of my stuff. finally got all my stuff, but still have some of them missing like my saucepan, knives and some other stuff. weather's turning cold now. it'll be snowing in a couple of mnths time. :) i think i'm getting more impatient. sigh. shan't talk bout it. i think i'm gg wonky. my 2 flatmates asked me to go for a drink. i was getting ready to go to bed. =s n there were pple knocking on thedoor and ringing the door bell after the 2 of them left. i suppose it was to go drinking or some party, so i didn't answer the door. they really are quite noisy, laughing and dunno doing what else along the corridor. i got wokenup at 3am cos pple were back from drinking and they were talking and laughing at the top of their voices. worsething is they are on the ground floor and i can still hear them. it's really different ard here. i get woken up at 3am everyday. i hope they won't do this when school starts. i seem to wake up auto at 7plus every morning. why? whY?why??

finally talked to some of the flatmates just now. now we have 6 of us around here. all of them brits. quite a nice bunchof pple. there should be better days ahead? haha. i sure hope so. at least one of them would be having sch in thesame building as me. :) but i still don't know all their names cos it's kind of hard to get what they are saying sometimes. there's nina,rachel,laura, hannah and another hannah i think. and one thing, hannah said my english'sgood. good for international students i suppose. and asked me when i started taking english. lol. smth diff ard here's that pple really go to drink a lot. maybe cos it's the wkend now. they went yest and gg todayagain. hehe but i'm not gg. maybe i would next time. i don't know. haha. hope the internet can be used soon. i can't take it anymore!!! oh yah, their rooms seem to be a lot nicer eh.. no £££ to decorate. so sad. n it's so happy to get letters in the mailboxaddressing to me! haha, although it's just the receipts for the initial payment for the room and the duvet,pillowsand stuff. send me stuff pple!!! oh and i got a webcam finally! got it from dixons. there was a discount of £5 and then it was also this buy one get one free thing! at 1st we thought the shopkeeper made a mistake, but they said it is. haha. so it's £14.99 for 2. one for me and one for home. it can be used to take photos too. comes with zooming capabilities too. from creative. it's notbad except that i think it looks like an alien. heez.

haha haven't been online for a long time. just a quick update now.
still haven't gotten my internect connection in the room. trying to get that sorted out. i'm in the library now. i'll update bout the past few days in one short when i get the internet working cos i've been typing almost everyday on my laptop. now i'm in the library.

just did registration today. the queues were damn long everywhere and my shoulder's aching from carrying my bag. it's so heavy cos of the stuff i accumulated along the way 2day. there was this free med dictionary too. quite a lot of pple doin med. even more pple ard in the uni. terrible.

pple here drink everyday. i got asked to go drinking wif my flatmates everyday. hmm i don't like to go cos it's so smoky. oh well. i'm getting outcasts! help! haha. think my flatmates are nicce pple. hehe. that's bout it now.

btw do you know why the english have such low walls around their house? the ans cos they are very proud of their gardens and want to show it off. :p haha..

it's 7am now and i can't sleep. i think my bio clock is kinda gg faster than local time here. i start getting so terribly sleepy at 10pm and just wake up at 630am. = i hope this dosen't happen for long... or else how to mug?? :p

anw it rained yest. but the rain here is very different frm those in s'pore. u can see the rain, but u can't feel it. :p sounds weird but yeah, the rain is even lighter than the drizzle back home. so everyone just walks in the rain, no umbrella needed, u won't get really wet either. gets a bit colder when it rains, or did it? tap water ard here like ice water. *brrrrr

manchester. took a train down from nottingham. very convenient. just a straight train down frm nottingham to picadilly station. return tix costs 15pounds per person. past by sheffield, chesterfiels,donfield etc. no pics cos i was busy sleeping on the 2hr train ride. i don't know why but i just get sleepy everytime i get on the bus/train. uni was having open day yest, so we hop on a shuttle bus to get there. there were really a lot of pple. esp in the med building b4 the talks. was there to get the letter the bank needed to open an a/c. but since it was open day, pple were very busy and i had to wait till 2pm to get the letter. so we lunched at mac donalds1st. yup, went all the way to eat macs. oh well, a meal costs 3.19pounds which is $9+.for a meal!!! damn ex. but i heard subway's bout the same price cos it's bout 2pounds odd. anyone help me check out the prices? hee. oh back to the letter, i onli got it at 2.45pm. long story bout why i had to wait so long. so wif the letter, went to **t***t bank again and this time, it said that some stuff was missing. ie it was to be addressed to the bank and not whom-it-may-concern, dob and my surname had to be infront, just like the passport. so i had to go back to the med building n get the change. however, since they end work at 4pm, there wasn't enough time for them to change it. so they'll be posting it to notts. how wonderful. i wasted $90 to go down for nothing.

2nd day...

well, it's not really that cold here. maybe only in the morning temperature's lower. i was actually sweating just now man. haa. shuld have just taken off the jumper.

went to wollaton park tis morning. very nice BIG park just opposite my uncle's house. sooo nice. got losta flowers too. it's so huge it actually has a golfing area in it. and there are wild deers in the park!! saw 1 head 2dae when we went. it's not locked up or anything. it's just romaing around, it can even go into the golf course. yep. wonder what happens if ur ball hits them. anw they're kinda huge. there are little deers too. saw 2 of the mum suckling the young. duno wat's the young of a deer called.

ltr on we went grocery shopping! the one we went it's quite big. lotsa food around. they even sell birthday cakes in the supermarket. =) damn cute oso. one thing here is they have erm, singapore chao mian or smth. i'm told that it's just noodles+curry powder n fried. like erm i have never seen such stuff b4 in spore!! their chinese stuff, those pre-packed ones in the supermarket taste awful. that's what i'm told lah. another thing is over here, chicken breast is so much more expensive den chicken drumbstick/chicken wings. =) believe it or not? haha.

gg down to manchester tmr to settle bank a/c. went to city central just now to get the tickets. we took rainbow 4 down. and it costs 1pound twenty. i think like all the fares costs the same. anw even taking buses are bloody expensive. costs 15pounds return. 45 bucks lei!! another long long journey. 1hr55min. my poor butt. =

smth very diff ard here's that quite a lot of shops don't open during the wkends, or maybe only on sundays. so u won't see a lot of pple in town. nothing like orchard road. =)

1st entry from the uk!
1st things 1st, thanks to all those that came to send me off at the airport! sry if i don't have time to tok to some pple. i'll make it up when i go back yes? haha. anw i ran into the customs b4 i could hear/see enough pple crying/tearing to start my tear glands. =)

anw long-distance flight on the economy class is a pain in the ass. literally. my back aches, my butt aches, my knees ache. the leg space is so little it's really bad. sleep for a while den cannot tahan liao. so tired that i can't watch as much movies as i would like to. i watched herbie - fully loaded, monster-in-law, divergence, a bit of mr & mrs smith(cos i was soo tired i accidentally stopped it and was too lazy to start again). tired to watch my boyfriend is type B, but err it's in korean and had to read the subtitles. = anw was sitting so near the engine i can't really hear the conversations and my headphones had only one side working. food was nice! but a lot. had suppse and breakfast. both at unearthly hrs.

then had my uncle pick us up at the airport b4 sitting in the car for another 1.5hrs. thus, making my butt hurt even more! other than my sorry ass, the weather's so good!! cool like air-con. although outside's a bit cold when the wind blows n stuff. was 10degrees outside n pple were wearing spagetti n t-shirts. brrrrr. and on my way to uncle's hse i saw so many horses, cows n sheeps!! farm houses too! i think i like england. haha. i like english houses. =D anw the motorway here looks like those in malaysia. even their traffic lights do too. mayb it's the other way round, malaysia's looking like those here.

uncle's house's big too. sooo nice!! got tis area, like glasshouse. erm i think i can't describe it. i shall take a photo n post it up soon. =)

went to university of nottingham too! damn nice lah. the old buildings. sigh. luckily the med sch building's modern. or else i'll regret not gg to notts. haha. anw they don't wan me lo. that's all for now bah.

add ons: i am gg to turn into a pig. seriously. their food portion is soooo large!! the kids size can well be my main course. so can the starters. and they cost a bomb too! imagine some torillas n the the dressing(or watever u call it) costs 6.90pounds = $20.70. just for starters!!! i'll be twice my size before u know it and i'll be dead broke. =
