lake district

it had been a long time since i went trekking. =)

went to lake district with the society yesterday. it was really good. had loads of fun. we went to lake district, windermere and kendal. there wasn't much in kendal. just shops and stuff. but really enjoyed myself at windermere.

there's this huge lake in windermere. 5 of us decided not to take the cruise ride cos it was going to be sailing in the lake only. we decided to go trekking! hurhur. we had to walk all the way from the lake to this erm hill/knoll thingie which was quite a distance away. took silly photos along the way. =) here's on of them. we were hugging a tree! heez.

finally we made it to the bottom of the hill/knoll after taking quite a bit of time to stop for photos. =) the actual hike up was give to be 20min. but we erm took i think an hr plus. cos we kept stopping for photos, climbing up and down the slopes from the main path to take photos. hurhur. and also we took the longer, dirt path, successfully getting my jeans covered with mud. but den again, u're suppose to get dirty rite? haha. just like the gd'o oac days. ahhhhhhhh.... really miss it.

we're suppose to look like we're sitting on the log... but... hmmm...

it took us quite a while to get to the top. but it was well worth it. =) 784ft above sea level.

on the way down, we pass through a kissing gate and saw a donkey and a horse. that horse... grrr... wanted to eat my jacket!!! bleah. it left some of it's saliva on my jacket too. the donkey was much nicer. hah.

go take a look from the link to see what that horse did to me. man, the pics are embarrasing. oh well, we took quite a lot of silly photos. too. makes great memories. once in a lifetime. we might return, with different company, doing different stuff,with different weather conditions. who knows. all these photos & videos will always stay with me. wonderful memories. =)
